A mother brings in her 3-yr-old girl because she felt a smooth mass on the left side of her belly when she was giving her a bath. Which of the following is the most likely diagnosis?
a. Wilm's tumor
b. Neuroblastoma
c. ALL
d. Hodgkin's disease
e. Hepatoblastoma
Neuroblastoma: Usually midline
Hepatoblastoma: Would be on the right
ALL: Would have Hepatosplenomegaly (right and left "masses")
Hodgkin's: Could present with infiltration of abdominal lymph-nodes, but the peak incidence is in adolescents and old people i think, not in 3-year olds
although wilm's tumor represents only about 10% of childhood malignancy, it is the MOST common ABDOMINAL malignancy of childhood!!
