Default CK Score Reporting Delay for July and August Takers

Hey guys,

last year there was a score reporting delay for people taking CK later than July 27th, they did not get it earlier than September 25 2013. Does anyone know if there is something similar planned for this year or if this is something that happens every year?

Thanks

It happens every year! To be on the safe side one should delay it to 20th July max.

There will be a change in the minimum passing score starting July 1, 2014 so maybe by then we would be informed of any possible score reporting. I hope this helps...

But don't they usually tell us that they plan to delay by this time? Honestly, trying to balance doing well on this exam and not risking a score delay is such a stressful gamble.

I agree. I used last year as a basis and put my exam date on July 25.

Unfortunately I don't know. Maybe about a month earlier. Last year the last date for not getting into the delay was July 27th.

I think it does not make any difference wether it is July 21st or July 25nd, it is both the same Wednesday for score report.

Yeah, I put it on the 25th just to be sure (this would be the date according to last years delay date). I hope they will let us know soon.

Default Delay is confirmed

June 17 post at www.usmle.org :

"Most score reporting of Step 2 CK results occurs within four weeks of testing. Due to routine modifications to the Step 2 CK test item pool, there will be a delay in reporting for most examinees testing on or after July 31st. The target date for reporting Step 2 CK scores for most examinees who test beginning July 31st will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014. For examinees whose circumstances require that they receive Step 2 CK scores before September 24, it is recommended that they take Step 2 CK no later than Monday, July 28, 2014."
