Default Need some advice

Hello guys

I have my Step 2 CK exam on 12th of May, and here are my scores so far:

UW Qbank: 75%
NBME 6: 248
UWSA: 253

I was aiming at 255+, but I'm not sure if I can do it. What do you guys think? I'm a bit hesitant now about my exam.

hope you agree..please give suggestions regarding your end days prep, wen was your nbme 6??

I did the NBME 6 on 25th of April. And yeah, I suppose you're right. We shall calm down.
I just hope for the best, and a +/- 5 of the UWSA sounds like a good prediction enough.

Well, it's totally up to you to take it or not , I have been here in the states long to know what they are looking for. For example this year my two best friends matched into ophthalmology and the other into plastic surgery one in a high prestigious school their scores are less than 250s and they are both IMGs and non US citizens and >3 Yrs since Graduation .
in short
I have heard it from "several" PD of universities not in the Midwest BUT in the northeast personally vis a vis that the cut off usually and generally speaking is around 220 and above and I'm not talking about a certain speciality I spoke to a ER PD, IM PD ,Psych PD, Neurology PD, AND pediatric PD
to further explain: scores aren't the MAIN factor they only save you from being cut down.
Good luck

Yes i can agree with that. Scores are important but not everything.

I say the interview is the most important. A great interview can save you from tons of deficiencies in your curriculum.

Also i think your friends were extremely lucky, i don't know where you are from but i have never heard of anyone from my country matching ophthalmology in the last 10 years.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I am aiming on matching into Pediatrics, hopefully, and so I have decided to go forward and do the exam on Monday.
Will share my experience of the day of the exam as soon as I could and will share my result, hopefully!

Best of luck to us all.
