CT Scan Neuroanatomy CT MRI Images for the USMLE

I found this thread talking about the available neuro imaging websites
Molecular Bio and Neuro

They mentioned these:

http://www.urmc.rochester.edu/smd/Ra...CT_anatomy.htm
http://www9.biostr.washington.edu/da.html
http://www.neuroanatomy.wisc.edu/sc97/text/p1/intro.htm
http://library.med.utah.edu/WebPath/.../NEURANCA.html
Axiom Neuro - 3D Neuroanatomy and Neurology - Pathways

But I want to share with a website that has got all the anatomy and pathology in MRIs of the brain at all levels
The name is The Whole Brain Atlas
Here's the link
http://www.med.harvard.edu/AANLIB/home.htm

I think reading this website carefully will be very useful for Step 2 CK

Do we really need to read all those websites!
I thought that Kaplan notes and a qbank is enough for CK!

It's not absolutely mandatory, but the more images you see the better you are prepared

Show Teeth thanks

Thanks for the links, very awesome images...though it means more to look at..I actually bought axiom neuro for step 1, it is a fantastic program. It also has simulated patients which helps understanding disorders. Also as a side note, with the newer exams, I have been told that they are note worthy number of CT and MRI images for CK, so it will be wise to have a good understanding of them.

Question CT and MRI

Guys, do someone know a good web site from where you can study CT, MRI and the rest of important stuff that you need to know for step 1 regarding radiology.

I've used an app on my iPod touch that is called iAnatomy and there's another one called iRadiology. They are really good! They even have test mode. Hope this helps

Wow. I don't want to sound unappreciative of everyone sharing the resources they found helpful, but having taken Step 2 CK, I would suggest not worrying about your ability to read brain imaging beyond telling the difference between epidural and subdural bleeds. Unless of course you a) have a year and a half to study or b) plan on going into neurology and will use the knowledge gained later in your career...

That is not to say you do not need to know the indications for various brain imaging (like non-con CT in the setting of a possible bleed), but I personally wouldn't consider neuroradiology a very high yield topic. Do make sure the know the various brain imaging results that can be helpful for diagnosis such as the various forms of dementia, congenital malformations, and schizophrenia.
