Info low step 2 ck , is it over??

I gave my step 2 ck exam on the 28 January 2014 and my exam result came up with 209 !!!

I've studies for 3 months only and that was the first mistake i made , not giving my self enough time for preparation , my 2nd mistake is not using enough material (( i only studied MTB step 2 ck and WU twice)).

My current status is :
-YOG 2013
-step 1 still preparing extensively ((Exam date end of December 2014))
-step 2 cs ((end of Feb 2014 ))
-Ill apply for 1 mo observership before my cs exam
-Currently arranging for 3 months externship.
-Don't need Visa ((Green card holder for almost 5 yrs and most probably getting my citizenship by May 2015))
-and i hope to apply to the 2016 match season.

My Question is What are my chances for IM residency , and what about IM transitional year , is it count from residency years??

I'm trying to be realistic , please guys need honest response and opinion and i would really appreciate your help , especially those who have been in similar situation or know some one who has been in this condition as well.

Look at your positives your a fresh grad who has a green card and passed CK without multiple attempts yes its not high which means top tier programs would not even see your application but you got a chance on mid tier or lower tier programs, what you need to do is ace step 1 , pass CS on the first time , think of doing research to support you resumé

Good luck
