Listening Tips for staying alert during the exam

I have my CK on 1st of June.
I just wanted to ask the forum staff and the members about using various stimulants like chocolates or energy drinks.
Do these help? I did feel very tired after 4 blocks during step 1.

kindly suggest some good techniques to avoid fatigue during looooooooooong CK exam..

The CK Exam is indeed exhaustive and you have to be focused for a good 8-9 hours.

Use of CNS stimulant indeed work and can be very useful, specially if you are used to it.

Other tips:
- Get a very good night's sleep three to four consecutive nights before the exam day.
- Wash your face during breaks.
- Do not eat too much during the long lunch break.
- Train yourself with long practice blocks before the exam.

I think the single best tip to help you in this is to adjust your sleep schedule as early as possible before the exam date .. I did it like 3 weeks before step 1 exam .. i used to go to sleep at 8-9m and wake up around 5 am .. I was totally alert during the exam and did well

don't use power drinks and caffeine excessively the days before the exam! you may end up with some withdrawal symptoms and the last thing you want is a bad headache at exam day! for the same purpose, don't use any kind of medications to help you go to sleep the night before the exam, you may use it for the first few days when you start adjusting your sleep schedule

use your break time wisely ..

and last but not least .. try at least one time to simulate the exam by taking 8-9 blocks back to back .. it really helps

Good luck !
