Default is mtb2 and uw enough?

My exam is in one month.
reviewed mtb2 and uw several times.
many people who took CK said they reviewed mtb2,3 once or twice. Do you actually remember everything in the book? Just out of curiosity, cos I didn't.
Thanks!

hi kimir,

from your question you are on right track, continue pushing and you will end up well.

the only reason why you dont feel complete after reading MTBz is that its all clinical and nothing to memorize. so much so, almost 90% of the questions the are encountered in ck do not need any form of memorization.

example: a case of lower back pain. in the exam you will come across a lower back case and have to figure out the cause: spasm, herniation, vertebrae#, abscess or mets etc to put it simply. in the exam this scenario comes in a twisted way they will start with an old man, k/c whatever cancer, developed sudden backache. past history of pain radiating to the thighs. area is non tender, and SLR is positive. etc etc and a bunch of irrelevent history. then a bunch of labs and vitals. No fever every thing normal, and a huge image, then list the choices.......

now there is nothing to memorize here, no fever excludes abscess, no tenderness excludes mets, SLR gives it to herniation....nothing high fi and nothing to memorize.....

the exam is doable its just the length and the vagueness that makes it difficult.

Thank you so much!
I found UW much easier after I did my IM rotation. It is more like follow the instinct.
Anyway, thanks and good luck!

I read MTB2 once, and reviewed it the week before the exam but only my weak subjects. I wouldn't waste much time on it.

UWORLD is a must, i only did it once but it took me nearly 3 months, cause i was learning it very thoroughly .
It was enough for me and i did excellent in CK.

So you think i can just take uworld now and take the test in two months knowing that I finished kaplan once and MTB2 once and some MTB3 for surgery and ob/gyn. ?? I could use some reassurance , was your score in 230s?
thanks,
