what are the three most commmon causes of MR in USA???what is the recent trend?got variable opinions..

mvp is most common cause for isolated MR in usa
Rheumatic heart disease cause one third of cases of MR
mitral annulus calcification mc cause in old age
rupture chordea tendinea mc in infective endocarditis and trauma
systolic anterior motion in mitral valve leaflets Mc cause in HOCM
thats from uw explanation
thats all i know the history of the case decide the cause

MVP is the most common cause of MR in developed countries.
Rheumatic Heart Disease in under-developed countries.
