in the following situations:
1) if the patient first presented with status epilepticus.
2) presence of strong family history of epilepsy.
3) presence of abnormal EEG.
4) presence of abnormal neurological physical findings.

Yes. Mess trial (Prediction of risk of seizure recurrence after a single seizure and early epilepsy) is in agreement with abnormal EEG and abnormal neurology!

It was shown that in patients with a single seizure, an abnormal EEG and the presence of a neurological abnormality, immediate treatment reduced the 1-year seizure recurrence risk from 57% to 35% and the three-year risk from 72% to 50%
