Default My CK experience 247

First of all i have to thank this forum which helped me a lot.

My preparation time is for 6 months.
Materials used KLN, MTB 2&3
Qbanks used Uworld
UW in random timed mode average after 1st round 70%
NBME form4 232 2.5 months before
form6 234 2 months before
Free150 89% 1 week before
UWSA 247 4 days before

First i have studied KLN for all except Psychiatry. After 1st read i gave a 2nd reading for OBGyn, pediatrics and IM.
Then i started doing UW( random timed mode which is very important).
I have studied MTB2&3 in parallel with UW and prepared notes from UW which helped me a lot.
I have done 3 rounds of UW all in random timed mode in between which i have given NBME and finally UWSA and free150.
Last 5 days before exam revised MTBs completely once.
For psychiatry i have based on MTB and UW. for biostats i have gone through Step1 KLN and then UW.
Relied on google images for some radiological and dermatology pictures.

Finally on the exam day

The exam was doable. The very important thing to be remembered is the time management. It is really crucial for CK as the questions are lenghty.
For me 1st block was easy except a drug add
2nd block was difficult and i almost ran out of time. I did not have time too read the drug abstract completely but some how managed
3rd block was ok followed by 4th which again had a drug abstract with 3 included in the question.
4th and 5th were ok
6th was easy and again for 7th i ran out of time and even didnt read a question and missed it.
8th block was also ok.
Most of the questions were from IM followed by OBGyn, pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery, biostats.
I had 4-5 questions on radiologic images, a couple of questions on dermatology pictures ,on ECG and 2 questions on heart sound.

And my real score is 247

Hope my experience will help you.

Default congrats

Could you tell me if uworld only is enough for surgery if we do it thoroughly. And how were the drug adds. Was the difficulty level same as uworld.

Uworld is good for surgery but i would suggest to go through KLN once as it has surgical vignettes which are helpful
