Rheumatology/Orthopedics The Four Hs of Secondary Pseudogout

Calcium Pyrophosphate Dihydrate crystal deposition in pseudogout is usually of unknown cause.
However, it can be metabolic and the 4 Hs mnemonic help us remember these metabolic conditions:
  • Hyperparathyroidism
  • Hemochromatosis
  • Hypophosphatemia
  • Hypomagnesemia
