First Aid for the CK sucks! Unlike FA for Step 1 it's very bad and is not useful at all

I used the Step 2 CK BIBLE. I think it's relatively new, it was more thorough than the other books I looked at.

thanks for your hard working, but i think the result of this poll will have low precision, say why?
because in short time that an applicant will have for preparing for exam, he/she will have time only for reading (and reviewing) only 1 or maximum 2 books mentioned in this poll. what we choose for reading depends on what we have heard from our friends and it seems most of applicants agree on KAPLAN LECTURES BOOK, i chose it too but i can't say what the result would be if I'd chosen another book. |

Moreover, I know several students who choose to have a look at many references and then they choose one of them to continue their prep which means there's still an element of comparison in such a poll. Also, this poll is dynamic. It's changing with time. You can see for example that MTB for CK has already gained 8 vote even it was just released recently. |

I think you are right about previous editions but step2ck FA 7th edition is really good , i am being able to score 70% in tutor mode on Umleworld , however i need a lot more prepation to go smoothly in the timed mode but still i can find the answers by studying step2ck only. However i used the following two resource: - i read and studied kaplan notes surgery ( good) - i read part of kaplan OBGYN (good) As for peds First aid enough for people who studied step1 or studied internal medicine very welll during third or 4th years clerckships First aid step2 ck is enough with USMLEworld however , at the end of the road each of us has different IQ , lifestyles and studying styles .Good luck ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hey, can you elaborate on what you liked, and did not like about the step 2 CK BIBLE? It is fairly new, and I can not find any reviews for it, so your opinion on it would be very helpful. Thanks.

Hi
I'm really confused. I want to plan for preparing for step 2ck. at first I wonna study Broad&Wards. When I opened the book I saw something, there were some topics in contents list that I thought that there aren't in exam references. you know, I thought that the exam just includes Internal medicine, OBS/GYN, Pediatric, Surgery, Psychiatry, Ethics and Preventive medicine but in this book I saw these too: Family medicine, Neurology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Emergency medicine. now I don't know what should I read. please and please guide me. thank you, wish you the best |
