Help Sexual Hx in a married patient

If a patient is married, should we ask him/her (how many sexual partners do you have)?

Yes, absolutely.

You ask him or her about the number of sexual partners.

If they get angry "some challenging SP want to test you", you apologize and you say I have to ask this question because it is medically relevant.

Or you could prepempt an angry response by simply phrasing your question thus:
I'm sorry to ask this, but do you have any other sexual partners?
Hardly takes 3 seconds and it'll save you the hassle of giving the SP a clarification.
