Question How to ask the SP about possible Abuse

Hi all:

1.) for abuse case, is it possible that the wife comes in with her husband? there is a minicase in FA that the husband is with the wife.

2.) after we promise confidentiality to the SP, can we say " are you being abused? " to the SP? after we say something like " can you please tell me more about your bruises on your hand? "

3.) is there any places/websites we can check to know what MEDICAL WORDS we shall avoid to use and its equivalent words?

Thank you!

Default SFAEGARD Kids

The way I am Studying it is Using the Mneumonic SAFEGARD and then I add Kids. You may not ask in this particular order but it at least reminds you of the words to use?
S-Do you feel Safe at home
A-Are you Afraid of your ...?
F-Do any of your Friends or Family know about your situation?
E-Do you have an Emergency plan to get out of the house if you need to?
G-Are there and Guns in the home?
A-Is the abuse Alcohol related? ( You can Also ask about Drug related)
R-How is you Relationship?
D-Do you feel Depressed?
Do you have any Kids? if Yes...Have they ever been hurt? - If YES Then YOU MUST INFORM them that you Have to contact Social Services. If it is a NO then you do not have to call.

Hope that helps!!
