Question How to ask the review of systems questions

When going through the ROS Qs is there a way to ask open ended questions or do we just start ask "do you have abdominal pain?" When you are going through the list is ok to say just "any nausea?" "any headaches?" or should we ask in full sentences.

Thanks.

You: Have you ever had abdominal pain?
SP: No.
You: Nausea?
SP: No.
You: Vomiting?
SP: No.
You: Diarrhea?
SP: No.

There isn't actually any art behind it. Just be friendly and smiling and ask them the way you like. Don't ask open-ended questions in the ROS. Your questions should be answered by Yes or No only.
