Calendar Early and Late in the CS reporting period

I finally booked a July 15 date, and according to the CS reporting schedules, the first Wednesday is going to be on Aug 17. I'm concerned, though, that I'll get my score later than that being that July 15 is in the very end of the testing period. Will an earlier date like July 1 - 5 (the earliest possible for me) make a difference?

I'd appreciate your input.
Thanks.

No. There's no difference between earlier and later dates in a given reporting period.

You will get your results on August 17 just like those who took the exam on early July.

Don't think that is true.
The later u take within a period , the later your score report will be for the reporting period.
U can check the usmleforum.com based on the experiences of those who recently took the exam

Most of the information on usmleforum.com are erroneous.
Here's a quote directly from the official USMLE Website
Quote:
For each "Testing Period" in the above schedule, Step 2 CS scores are released every Wednesday over a corresponding four- to five-week "Reporting Period". It is expected that results for the vast majority of examinees who take the exam during the testing period will be reported on the first Wednesday of the Reporting Period. Over the past 4 years, results for 98%-99% of examinees who take the exam during the testing period were reported by the third Wednesday in a Reporting Period. For a small percentage of examinees (1%-2%), it is important to note that scoring and quality assurance may be not completed in time for these examinees to be reported by the first three reporting dates; these will typically be examinees who took the exam in the latter part of the testing period. Results for these examinees will be reported each week throughout the reporting period, and should be reported no later than the last day of the score reporting period.

usmleforum.com website is so bad to the extent it has become like a funny pool of losers. Don't rely on the info there.

Default Read The USMLE website about reporting schedules

Hey: Im sure you've looked at the website, but it does say that 97-98% of scores are released by the third wednesday of the reporting period. I don't know for sure if your date affects it, but ppl I know have generally gotten it on the wed that comes on or after their 2 month waiting period. I know people say that applying later in sept affects your chances..but hey..i'm in that boat then let ppl say what they must..we'll just have to take it as it comes.
