Warning! The caveats of gloves and washing hands

I tried to wear gloves twice in two encounters. My hands were a little bit sweaty (SLIGHTLY wet) from the nervousness. God, these gloves do not fit if your hands are even slightly wet. They are actually NON-powdered and VINYL! Not latex!! and can cause a lot of friction when you try to wear them So I had to hurry to wear them until realizing this is impossible and then switched to washing hands. Of course this was very time consuming. My suggestion is to go straight to the "washing hands"!!!

I have an annoying problem as well which is getting really cold hands. Even during my practice with my father I'd get them, and he would complain (he's a physician, and he knows patients do not like cold hands). Someone suggested that I wash my hands with warm water, but I don't know if it would work!

By the way, tkourkou, did you engage the patient in conversation while washing your hands or wearing gloves? Just wondering if this is essential.
