Calendar CS reporting period; 99% by third Wednesday!

I have a question. I took an exam in july 15, and the supposedly reporting period is August 17- September 14, does the result usually come out on that first reporting date August 17, which happens to be a wednesday. I don't know if i've understood correctly from the usmle website that 98-99% of people over the past four years received results on the 3rd wednesday of a reporting period, so in that case, Aug 31, 2011. I hope someone can clarify. Thanks

Correct Answer Yes you are right

Yes, you got it right.

90% will get it on August 17 (Wednesday)
5% will get it on August 24 (Wednesday)
5% will get it on August 31 (Wednesday)

I have not received my cs result today. Does that mean bad news? Why would they spread it out like that? Thanks

It shouldn't mean bad news.
Sometimes they just want to verify stuff with the exam center.
