I was refused too, but I was just trying to visit family. I wrote a letter on the same day to the American consulate detailing why I felt I was hard done and scheduled an appointment for the next possible day. The visa officer had that letter with him and paid more attention. It was a different, much nicer officer too. Maybe you could try this.

They have an email. I did this back in 2013. Something along the lines of consular affairs. I don't recall exactly, but I'm sure you can find out. The visa officer will have it with him when you enter, so he has to take a little bit of notice. Make the mail strongly worded without being rude. The last thing you wanna be is meek and apologetic. It worked for me.

Hi I am new to the forum, ok where do I start , I just graduated from kmc manipal in 2013 , I heard from a friend about a Kaplan course with live lectures in the U.S. So I told my parents that I really want to do pg from outside India, they suggested U.K after showing them multiple sites that uk is closed to F.M.G . They finally supported me with the Kaplan program . So I applied online payed the fees which was about 4,700 dollars. I was accepted, applied for an F1 visa online so I will tell how the interview went
V.O- passport , I 20 please
me -yes(gave it to him)
V.O why do u want to go the U.S
Me to do P,G
V.O- but u already a doctor here , why do u need to go
me- I have just finished my basic mbbs , I would like to do my P.G there
V.O- how many chambers in the heart?
me - 4
V.O- who is sponsoring your trip
me- father
V,O- what does he do
Me - retired
V.O- I noticed u have been to U.K, What was the purpose of the visit
Me- my father used to work there
V.O Your visa has been issued, have a nice day
me- thank you, and ran for the exit, literally
He gave a 5 years Multiple entry F1 visa, now I can study in peace knowing that I can do the c.s without going to embassy again.
Bottom line is try for these Kaplan courses secure a visa first then put all your effort, I see a lot of ppl here getting great marks only to have their visa rejected.

Hi everybody!!
I've got through this disappointing situation in the past days when my visa application was refused.I didn't know the exact reason,I was so hopeful because I have strong ties in my home country.
My question friends:can I change the information I wrote in the DS 160 previously in the next attempt??will that affect my honesty and weakens my situation?

I just got multiple entry b1 for Cs. Instead of filling wrong info on DS forms, go and prepare documents that say you got a job. You can clear any other step you've left with in mean time. And bank statements which looks like you got salary monthly for at least 3 months.
My questions on interview: what's usmle exams
How much did it cost for step 1 exam, my answer: around 500usd +200 for international shipping . Answer to the point. Don't look desperate, you can nail it. Good luck

Hey! You must be done with all the steps and probably matched by now. I am in a similar situation that you faced. I was rejected a visa today for the second time within a month. Did you fax ECFMG? What changed your case that you got your visa on 3rd attempt? Did you send an email to the US embassy?
