Help About sexual history in the CS Exam

when asking the patient, are you sexually active ?

then if he answered yes with my husband / wife ?

do I need to ask him other questions /

I agree, but i tackle it a different way.

I tend to ask first patients first if there sexually active.

If they just state yes.

I just then ask them how many partners they have had within the past year... You never know what type of answer you may get back when asking that type of question but in the case above, the patient would only say with the husband/wife.

Try to also ask whether they use any protection or any type of OCP's or such.

Really depends what the patient is complaining of. If the patient had Trichomatis Vaginalis, You would want to ask about douching and stuff like that...
