Default Step 2 CS For your peace of mind

Hello. I took step 2 CS on april 29th and just got my score.
Until today I felt very worried because I made some mistakes that I thought were going to cost me the test.

I passed, so I thought I share what I did right and wrong so you guys who have not gotten your score yet, have a peace of mind and not worry so much about it like I did.

A description of myself: I'm an IMG, born in south america, main language is spanish and took my test at the Houston center.

What I did right:
- Greet the patient with a hand shake (when possible, I had a patient with wrist pain, so just used common sense) and smile.
- Never had a patient tell me they did not understand me or to repeat something.
- Look at the patient in the eyes all the time, never did I turned my back on the patient.
- Never stood quiet, always talked even while i was putting gloves on.
- Always wore gloves when examining the patient and asked them if they were comfortable.
- My physicals were to the point and very short.
- Had enough time for counseling and answered every patient question.

What I did wrong
- First patient ran out of time in the middle of counseling, I told the patient there was an emergency and I'd be right back
- Told one patient "everything will be alright"
- Had a patient that I had no idea what was wrong with him, only had 1 DD for that patient on the PN
- Forgot to write "physical exam" on the workout for the 2 pediatric patients I had
- My physicals were short. I listed this on the right section because it saved me time but it also made me miss stuff, for example, one of the patients had sore through, nasal congestion and low grade fever, I forgot to do abdominal to check for spleen enlargement.
- My patient notes were short, only listed 2 dd on every case (except for one I just wrote 1).
- One of my DD was cancer and when I told the patient it was likely cancer she was all over the place and I didn't know what to do.

As you guys can see, my test was far from perfect and I still passed. My english is very fluent and I have that "american" accent (too much tv and video games) so I did not have trouble with words.

One thing if you are reading this and have not setup your test date and center. I prepared with a friend from school and he took the test on Philadelphia. We both have the same preparation and he is an American Citizen. His passed but his feedback was lower than mine, so be cautious if you are going to take the test in Phili.

Any question, let me know.

Hi
I have misdiagnosed 3 cases and did irrelevant physical exam in 3 cases.
My notes were only 550 words in history section and in one peds case i forgot to ask immunization hx and wrote in the note that immunization -up to date.
I could not understand challenging question in 2 pt due to accent.and i put 3 dds in most cases but i only got 3-4 justification points in each cases and in two cases i just got 2 justification point. Please give me honest reply..Am i going to fail due to this mistakes? Please help..i am freaking out ...waiting period is to long...

Hi, when you say miss diagnosed what do you mean? Was it something way off of the real diagnostic or coul it be but it wasnt perfect?
I only used 3 justifications per dd.
I think the PN had little to do with my grade since most of them were very lacking (I did forgot family hx on one).
Now I did do every single challenge and closure, and double check with every patient if they had any other concerns (except thE first case where I ran out of time).
How many times did you asked the patient to repeat something on those challenges that you didnt get?
