Default Re: ....

Can I apply to the match without CS results?
Yes, you can but your chances will be much less. It's better to be fully ECFMG certified by September 2010.

When should I take CS after my April CK exam?
You can prepare for the CS in short time
See this
http://www.usmle-forums.com/usmle-st...step-2-cs.html
And this

When is the best time to apply for CS?
The sooner you apply the better your chances to get a nearby date
Also see this

How am I going to figure out all the mess of ECFMG and Match stuff?
Take your ECFMG certificate then look for IMG friendly programs in your specialty then obtain ERAS token on July 15 2010 then start working on your myERAS website. Once you are in the process come back here and ask us if you have questions.

Yes, you can apply in September before you get the results of the CS. In ERAS you can mention (Results Pending). When the results are passed you can then update your records and the ECFMG will automatically update your status.

However, I urge you to get the results before applying. Being ECFMG certified right from the beginning tremendously increases your chances of getting interviews.

If you are taking you CK in April you can still take your CS exam in May 15. If you do so you will get your results by July 14. If you take the exam from May 16 to July 17 you will get your results in September 15.

It's preferred that you apply your papers within the first week of September. If you submit in September 15 you may lose some opportunities but still it's not totally a bad idea.
