Arrow Second attempt CS passed

Hi Today i pass cs in 2nd attempt with high performance in all components. Now i realize what i did wrong in my 1st attempt and i want to share with you guys.

1st attempt: Failed in data gathering, i was so shocked after my result and not able to find out the reason why i failed in data gathering coz i asked every single question that was mention in FA for cases .

2nd attempt :

so the key for data gathering is Physical examination. physical examination is equally important as history taking.
Let me discuss according to score report

ICE
: Data gathering includes relevant history taking and PE only. Word relevant is important coz SP have checklist and on checklist you only get credit if you ask relevant h/o and do PE.

For PE , dont fake coz SP knows everything that you are doing PE properly or not. Dont rush SP.
i did following PE in every patient,
- Fundoscopy if HTN or DM +nt in past medical history
- Chest auscultate at least 4 areas for full respiratory cycle.
- Heart auscultate 4 areas
- Abd palpate and auscultate but wait for BS.

Patient Note: typing speed of 20 wpm is enough and well covered in FA

CIS:
as described in FA and UW

i passed the CS exam in first attempt... thanks to this DVD which I got in India...a senior passed it on to me and told me to watch it thrice before appearing for the exam. Along with that he told me to read FA. i think it is a very good combination.
the DVD is titled "Jaypee's Video Atlas of USMLE Step 2 CS Cases & Tips"
