Default does anybody knows someone who has failed in cs and still matched??

hi everyone, I am an IMG, I failed in ICE component of cs exam, I was hoping to apply for this yrs match that is match 2016. is it wise to thnk to apply for 2016 match if i retake exam and get my result till december and apply only those programmes where i have contacts...

Please any need advice over this.. i dont want waste one yr.. any input will be highly appreciated..

step 2 ck 241
step 2 cs failed first attempt
3 us LoR
2 moths USCE(Observership)

yes I know a friend who matched 2 years ago. He got failed in CS but he got two 250+ and YOG=4 he had a Phd and paper published but he had no USCE no US LOR just 1 month Observership in CCF.

No one can answer this question. Just don't make a hasty decision. Study, improve your week points. Take the exam and pass it. What is meant to be, will be. All you can do is try. Don't listen to people, this is your journey. All the best, you got this.
Yes, all kinds of people match and all kinds of people don't match as well. It's a mixed bag.

Hi,
it will be harder, but not impossible. It depends on many factors like: specialty, program ranking (i.e. how many people are you competing with), etc. You have lower step 1 score, but decent step 2 score. 3 LoRs are definitely a big plus. Try applying this year and you'll see. Either it happens or it doesn't. If not, you can always pass Step 3 with a great score and participate in some research maybe. Don't give up when you came this far. :-)
