Computer Character limit for the PE and HPI in patient note

first sorry for asking a lot of questions lately I am having my exam in march 21, and PA, just need to ask questions so i wont be stunned when exam day comes.

my question is that in the PN entry form..
is there a character limit on the text box on the computer? on both the History and PE box

i tried to write in the PN in the website seems unlimited...

for those who have taken the exam and are knowledgeable please help...

There is a character limit for PE and PN. Practice a few times in typing before the exam, that way, on exam day you won't find your self running out of space and trying to find things to delete. You will be wasting your time and of course be stressed out.

Would the char limit be the same in the practice note in the usmle website?

Like in FA the samPle PN they provide does it usually fit in normal setting? Thank you

I think the practice note on the USMLE website and what's on the actual exam in terms of character limit are the same; and yes I think whatever is given in FA will definitely fit in the patient note

Default practice note limit usmle website

hi guys!!!! the usmle website says that we have 950 characters for the hpi, but when I try to write their example note with the bullet format it doesnt let me finish!!!!!!!!!!!
I think there is something wrong with the practice material because when i write the same note as a comment in youtube (without posting it) It tells me that it only has 530 characters!!!!!!!!!!!
can somebody help??? please!!

Here is the note try it!!

24 yo woman who complains of worsening sore throat since yesterday
morning never had a similar problem in the past
worse with swallowing; nothing makes it better
denies SOB or difficulty swallowing
fatigue and some anorexia since symptoms began
subjective fever but has not taken her temperature
no sick contacts at home or at work
ROS: No chest pain, SOB, abdominal pain, headache
PMHx: none
PSHx: none
FHx: no significant medical issues in the family
SHx: married with 2 children, No ETOH or drugs, monogamous with husband

That is because there is a Character AND a Line Limit that is why you cannot make it in the bullet format! Just Type it with a period at the end as though each what would be bullet would be a scentence

Line limit?!?! wow..they didn't mentioned that one in their site or booklet.
