Question Repeating clinical findings in the differential list?

I am new to this forum.
I need to know if when doing the new patient note they ask for physical findings for the different diagnosis and can you use the same physical findings in each diagnosis or the same history given by the sp for the diagnosis. I wonder if you cant get enough history or physical for three different diagnosis does anyone know, cause if we can use the same history and pe findings it will make it easier and if not then it will be hard.

and is it still 10 min for the new patient note i heard somewhere it is 15 min is that correct.
thank you

Yes of course you can use the same findings for different differentials. That's why they call it differential diagnosis.

For example:
Patient with cough, fever, chest pain, dyspnea

DDx1: Heart failure - chest pain, dyspnea
DDx2: Pneumonia - chest pain, fever, cough

As for the time, it's still 10 minutes, no official announcements from the NBME about that.
