Question Psychiatric SP and admission to the hospital?

Do u hospitalize a patient if he is psychotic/depressed and mentions plans of killing himself/others?

Do you mention in patient notes?

Do you tell him in summary that you are going to hospitalize him?

Yes... you have to hospitalize a patient who is depressed / psychotic and expresses desire to kill himself or harm others. You will have to mention this point in the summary repeatedly even if he insists that he wants to leave.
you basically have to detain him in the hospital.
please mention this point in the PN
