Question Musculoskeletal Pain and the Patient Note

Is there anyone that knows how to write pt note for shoulder pain for example? are we expected to write the names of the different tests like"Neer's sign positive", "Drop arm test positive" and so on? pls can anyone post a format PLSSSSS..exam is next week Philly..

most of the time u wont be able to test anything on the painful joint..all that u will be writing will be of the normal opposite joint..and moreover I don't think u need to go into the detail tests...
I have not taken the exam yet, still preparing for it, but i am going to mention the range of motion, normal movements like abduction, adduction, flexion and extension, muscle power and sharp and dull sensation of the normal opposite joint..and only that the affected joint is tender which does not allow any tests to be carried out... dnt know if i am right or wrong..

Yes Kundar, you are absolutely right.

There's no need for special maneuvers, just the routine range of movements and if there is redness, warmth, swelling, tenderness.

Detailed musculoskeletal exam is not required in the CS exam. So not only you don't mention it in the patient note but also don't do it.
