Unhappy When should I apply for CS? Scared of new changes coming

Hi everyone,

I am gonna take my CS in July
when should I apply for this ....is that take long?
secondly, i heard about new changes in exam pattern
so technically i will be prepared my June 20th but i am delaying my exam due to new pattern that is gonna start around 20th June
do you think its a right think to do?

I mean i would have to do sth else apart from my normal prep or no?

I would take it as early as possible when you feel ready. The changes are MINOR, they just want to ask you why you made that particular diagnosis, or why you ordered a particular workup. We already know this so not a big deal.

ex. Suspect "Osteoporosis".. you order a DEXA Scan, so you are required to fill in why.. so you can write something like "to check bone density". Simple.

If you plan on taking it in July, apply now! Dates are very hard to find.

Info might be difficult

hi.

Not to burst your bubble, but if you havenīt already signed up and paid for your CS it will be practically impossible to get a spot this July. If you go to the ECFMG.org website, thereīs a CS schedule calender which shows available test days. at the moment there are almost no dates until late september/early october. If I was you I would sign up ASAP. Remember that it takes time to process your application also. they say up to 3 weeks..

Verdana what i know about changes in CS z if u give diagnosis of Osteoprosis e.g, then u ve to mention what points in history n PE r leading u to think it osteoprosis like,Joint pain, obese patient etc.but for diagnostic studies u ve to just write da name(as in previous CS pattern)Like u just write X-ray,Dexa scan for osteoprosis
