Default Advice on CS failure

Like many people , I was surprise to learn that I failed CS on July 6 . I had great scores , 3 months of USCE and less than 1 YOG. I am still shocked and it has been really hard for me to re-study , my self steem is on the ground .I failed the CIS even tough I though I didnt have a problem with CIS in my training or practice for the exam .What I want to know how bad are my chances for maching with a CS failure, And how would you adress a CS failure on your personal statement ?

I am sorry to hear that you didnt pass. Many of my friends have matched with either an attempt on step 1 or on step 2 cs. You can still get in, just prepare more and practice with the right people. No need to mention in your personal statement. If and when you get an interview and if they ask you, thats when you talk about it. Best of luck.
