prepare your case, like on a clip board as if you were in the exam then prepare a timer and start your note, you will be able to use your note when you type it in the exam. and keep doing notes until you get your time down to 9.5 minutes, you can do it, its not that hard and it get easier as you type more notes. let me know how it goes

Hi Rachelmd,
Thank you for your valuable advice. Do you recommend using the bullets or text style. When I am using bullets, Iran out of lines. Do you have any particular suggestion to address that.
Also, Are you aware of any abbrevations that is excepted in the CS apart from the ones in the information booklet
I appreciate your advice

I did not use bullets I used single sentences and did it in all caps most of my patient notes were in all caps, My advice is to do it as quickly as you can and save the fancy stuff for real life when you actually have more then 10 minutes . there is a timed patient note page on the usmle site. The one I used is on csevideo site, if you go to csevideo.com and click the info link there is a drop down menu and a link for a timed patient note page shows up just like the exam page and it has the little blue line at the bottom that tells you how much space you have left, practice with that, there are other abbreviations. Which ones are you considering that are not on the usmle site? I have some links I will need to look them up and I will post them here when I get them.

the key is having a good scrap paper, almost like a rough draft of patient note, but you have to be simple when you make the scrap paper,
i also tried to finish my case earlier but i ended missing alot of things and I failed my CS exam,
