Default taking history

Hi all:

Just a short question to save time for asking history:

for example: a 2 yo child with fever:

Can I say: Does he have fever?...ear pulling?... vomiting?...ear discharge?...eyes discharge?...

instead of saying:
Does he have fever? does he have ear pulling? does he have vomiting? does he have ear discharge? does he have eyes discharge?

what do you think?

You should be specific about your questions. You shouldn't ask:

"Does he have fever, short of breath, vomiting.." in one sentence.

Because if the SP answers "no," you don't know what he is answering "NO" to.

But how I asked during the test was,

"Do ___ have fever?"
"How about vomiting?"

Instead of repeating "Does he" over and over!
