Default Planning to build a free website for CS preparation

Hi all,

I am starting this post requesting your inputs for building a free website which would help student prepare for Clinical skills.

Background: I know many friends who had great scores in Step 1 and 2CK, but couldn't make it for the first time in Step 2 CS. They were bright and intelligent and were in no position to have an attempt in Clinical skills. This was a shock news for me and especially for my friend who had invested a lot of time and money for preparing for USMLE. I am a regular visitor of this forum and even here I saw many people with great scores but were unlucky.

Personally I feel that the Step 2 CS is nothing major to do with your medical knowledge and more to test communicative skills and etiquette. I cleared this exam with help from my friends and coming for an non-english speaking country I had my share of difficulties that I had to overcome.

Internet and forums like these helps students giving valuable tips on preparation and life saving suggestion for free. During my preparation these helped me to visualize the test and deal with setbacks.

I prepared by going through First Aid, USMLE world , prepared on Skype and even saw few videos. But it is not a easy job to get a Skype partner and also even if you find one he will be the same learning curve as yours. FA and USMLE world are not that interactive to test yourself to the required expectations.

I am good in computers and I thought I would help others by building a website which would be more interactive, gives information on the questions during history taking, format of the physical examination and differentials and lab tests needing to be ordered.

I want to your help in form of suggestions on the structure and topics needed to be discussed. I believe if people can build a Wikipedia for the good for everyone, we can build this website for others who work so hard to get ECFMG certified. We have got help from others who took trouble of sharing their experience, I feel we have a duty to guide who are preparing.

Waiting for your responses.
