Default Fail on SEP any advice wellcome

Hi, I got my cs result two days ago. I fail the cs only for SEP, I took the test in Atlanta (I read online that there is a good place for IMGs), I am not native in English but I practiced a lot and I have been living and working here in the US for the last 2 years, I passed the TOEFL with 118. I have average Step 1 and 2CK (220s). Most of the SEP marks are in low performance, with only two in borderline. CIS and ICE marks are mainly in high performance with only one in borderline for CIS and two for ICE. Any advices about what I need to do is very wellcome, I really need your help. I was applying this year, and because I still did not have my cs I only applied to 10 programs, I have got 1 iv invitation. My big failure was that the night before I was not able to sleep and I took a sleeping pill at 3am, and I was drowsy but I was able to complete all the encounters and patient notes doing counseling, summarizing. What I should do? I am felling really bad.

I understand that english is not your native language. So even though you may have practised, maybe you memorised what to say in specific circumstances. When you do that, you sometimes freeze when a unique/ different scenario presents itself. You need to practice with an SP, who is able to mix it up. Someone who answers spontaneously and does not keep repeating the same bookish dialogues. That way you might learn to reply instinctively and spontaneously. Also, I would suggest practising speaking clearly and working on your pronunciation (maybe the patients were unable to understand your pronunciation?). Ask your SP to give you feedback on how they rate your english. At the end of the day, you yourself are the best judge as to what your deficiencies are. Figure them out and work on them. Get an english tutor if you have to. Good luck!
