If Chief Complaint has to do with chest pain,

Do you examine patient in both sitting and supine positions?

Sure I would do, including auscultation of the carotids, don't forget checking for the pulses & lower limb edema.

Yeap, thanks!

I'm trying to organize what exactly I will be doing and in what order.

1. Auscultate neck for carotid bruits
2. Pulses on both Upper and Lower Extremities.
3. Check for fluid retention on LE.
4. Ask patient to lie down with bed at 30 degrees (pull out foot extension)
5. JVD, PMI and Auscultation at 4 places
6. Auscultate while sitting
