Sphygmomanometer Two arms Blood Pressure Measurement

Hi every body, In cases of chest pain of cardiac origin like MI, do we need to take the blood pressure bilaterally during the exam, do we have time for that, or we just mention that in PN.
Thanks.

You certainly won't be doing two limbs blood pressure measurements.

I even advise you not to measure the BP at all, as it's not counted toward your score and it will consume lots of your precious time.

Just use the BP measurement that is available in the doorway information and pasted into your PN.

Sabio, do you think that we should not measure BP even in HTN follow up cases?

Yes. I think there's no need to do it even in HTN cases.

What about orthostatic vital signs? Do we measure bp and other vitals in a case like lightheadedness/LOC?

No, you don't. You just need to mention it in the workup.

You will not have time to do this... If you think it's warranted then put it in workup.
