Default Empathy etc. in the new CS.

Hi guys. We all know that they are now more strict regarding empathy demonstration, building doctor-patient relationship, councelling etc on the new CS. The official website has very nonspecific info on this.

My question is: do we have to try to demostrate even more "empathy" than is shown on the CSE video? I mean - what else can you say if patient says that his mom is demented, other than saying "I am very sorry, I can understand how difficult it can be when somebody in the family has memory problems"?
Do we have to start adding smth like "I can give you the pamphlet which tells how to deal with a demented relative, and you can always ask me any questions regarding your mothers problems and how you can possibly help her"?

Do you think we need to be that supportive? All these talks take a lot of time...
So to summarize: what is the reasonable degree of empathy and support on the new CS. Does it have to exceed the degree of empathy demostrated on CSE video?
