Great question. I would like to hear opinions as well. Guys, who have taken the exam, please advice. Has anyone tried beta-blockers to control anxiety?

I've heard opinions that after the second case you start feeling more or less relaxed. Is that true?

Please help us!

Keep in mind, this test is made for American 4th year students. Keep in mind, that SPs are there to portray real patients, not mean/rude/arrogant/unreasonable people. Keep in mind, everyone at the center is just like you. No one would expect us to get all the checklist marks in all the cases. You must have practiced a lot, I'm sure about that. Let it be fluent and natural. Think you are actually in a room with a real patient and the sincerity will flow naturally. Be confident as you have read and studied to be a doctor for so many years.

My personal suggestion, before entering the room, read the doorway info carefully, gather your thoughts for 45 - 60 seconds and then knock. Don't hurry inside the room without having at least 1-2 DDx in mind and a track to follow.

Its natural to feel like passing out and overwhelmed but keep in mind you are not alone, thousands every week go through this and come out smiling! So will you!

Good luck!
