MY advise is that you take the exam when you are ready, no matter how long after the course. This issue is completely depends on you.
Be prepared and then take the exam... Good Luck

It depends. If you read FA, watch CS videos, and practice before the kaplan course, then, taking the exam after 2 weeks maybe enough. It will give you enough time to practice. This is actually my plan for CS. Where are you taking the Kaplan CS course?

Hi, I am taking the Kaplan course right now and they advise at least 2 weeks of study after the course. I also advise you to study FA and review the Kaplan CS book before the course. The course goes very fast and some info are given very superficially. It is a good source for tips and an opportunity for real practice and feedback from the SP, but we need to do our homework. If your CK background is strong, then you need only 2 weeks after the course.
