Help Patient Note Confusion

Hi guys. I have some questions about the step 2 cs patient note. I think all of you know the patient note sample on usmle website, but my question is; in some cases in FA like case 5 for example ;it's about blood in the stool, however the thing is when you come to the DDx , there are 2 boxes for each one for history finding and the other for physical exam finding, well my problem is with the physical exam finding ; in some cases like abdominal pain or pharyngitis or others you may fined something , but in some like blood in the stool , if we go as the case in FA ,the DDx would be ; colorectal cancer, diverticulosis, hemorrhoids , so what would be the physical exam finding here if all the physical exam is negative ?????????????? or in other way, what I should do about any physical exam finding if the all the physical exam in the encounter was negative !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or should I keep it blank?????????????

Default Blood in stool

Usually there are findings to put in for at least one of your differentials if not more. However you are correct that some cases such as blood in stool may not have any in that case you would just leave it blank.
