Help Need Sincere Advice From Those Who Passed

hello everyone
i really want to be able to practice the cases quickly and efficiently
the problem is I dont really have a proper SP except for 1 family member at home but it will take long time if i do it with them
so my question is:
Is it possible to practise on ur own and still pass the CS??? Assuming I time everything and may be prctise with a doll or something? Any idea how I can pull this off? Has anyone passed without needing a study partner?
pls share ur experiences!
Thank u and appreciate it

I am still waiting for my CS results, but I was studying hard for 3 months for this test. I did all FA cases 3 times with 2 different SP's. I don't know if I passed or not, but I felt that my studying technique at least allowed me to feel comfortable on the exam. So my advice is - do not take chances! Find the SP, and do all FA cases at least once (use the drapes, instruments etc.). You can even pay somebody (like a medical student or resident, or recent CS taker) to play an SP for you. There are A LOT of people around who will happily spend a week practicing with you for some reasonable monetary reward.
I know people who used their pillow as an SP and passed, but I would NEVER even think of it.

yes. I know this was way too much. I studied part time. But that was too much even for part time study. that was a little bit unwise use of my time, because of somewhat inadequate planning/scheduling of my test.

Whilst having a practice buddy is always wise, studying on your own is fine too. I did it and passed.
If you really need a practice partner, finding one shouldn't be too difficult if you're willing to reward that person for their time. You don't want just anyone to practice on- you should get someone who is familiar with the exam and who can give you constructive feed-back at the end.

If you want to do a few hours a week via skype, I could spare some time (for a small fee .

Good luck!

Just kidding about the fee I know how frustrating preparing for the CS can be....I can spare an hour or two a week if you want to do some practice via skype....at least I can give you some feedback on your history-taking, CIS and SEP.
