Arrow CSE videos. Discussion and questions.

I am going through my prep using all possible resources....
So I stambled upon these videos called "CSE videos"

In one of the encounters, where the patient had hallucinations, the physician is councelling him about smoking marijuana. She says that marijuana will eventually lead to something similar to schizophrenia.
Can we speculate on something like that that no one knows for sure and deliver it to the patient?

In the same encounter, patient says that he is suicidal and homicidal. The doctor politely suggests that he needs to stay overnight and the patient agrees. What to do if the SP would say "No!" to your overnight stay suggestion?

I will share my expereince with CSEvideo.
I used this program for over one month and followed each detail in the physical exam and the differentials and work ups. Most of my cases in the actual exam came from the vidoes. I was able to pass with a very good highperformance in all sections. i used the audio program to get impve ment on my sep.

In fa for step 1 it shows marijuan makes schizophrenia in young people.
If sp says no to hospital say be very nice and try to convince him or if not then just agree with him and put it in your patient note.
hope this is of help

Default checking muscle strength?

while checking for muscle strength do we check one leg at a time or both legs together (when checking for muscle strength in blower limbs )as in the videos she checks on limb at a time i was thinking that doing both together will save time also we were taught like that only

both.
CSE videos are a good description of "whats up" but they are not very strict about timing, which sucks.
They often go beyond 10 minutes for history taking

The problem witt CSE videos, they try to do complete physical exam, rather than focal. My advice try to do focal exam. Time is really tight, beside you need some time for good closure.

Default Closure of heel pain case

when we do the closure of c/o heel pain then how many possibilities we must tell the patient?
In the videos she just says" i think you have sprained your ankle"

And how many possibilities should we give the patient for the other cases?
Will 2 be enough?

I think you can say " you might have sprained your ankle, HOWEVER, there are some other causes we need to rule out to give you the most appropriate treatment."

Default Cse set 2-6

Hello guys:

check SET2-6 videos and patient note. She told SP he might have GERD and MI and it is true these two are the most common. However, there is NO GERD in the patient note at all, endoscopy is not even in the test.
