Smile nepb Done with the CS

Finally I am done with CS too few days back. Do not know how it went but it was not that difficult exam. I remember I did tons of mistakes, can not say about the outcome. Anxiety is again killing me.
Cases were easy except for 1 case.
Some patients were rude enough but most were fine.
It was all the way acting nothing else.

If anybody has particular q , happy to answer.

Great man, good luck for result. . . I have few questions.. .
In which component IMG should work hard?
I have typing speed of 20-25 WPM, should I increase it or is it ok?

Thank u.
All parts are equally important. i think CIS is what u shud focus more. SP speak very clearly so the thing is how you answer, counsel them.
regarding ur Typing, you can not boost it in few days to type faster than ur usual speed no matter how u practice whole day typing but my point of view is -
1. type PN and practice to use short forms
2. save 1-2 minutes from your encounter if possible after every encounter so that u can make use of this time in PN

thanx.

I prepared for @ 4 wks, I started right after CK. I had very hard time preparing coz I was waiting for the CK result and studying CS at the same time. You can check my thread for those terrible days here -
Step 2 CK experience- contra to my assumption.
I studied normally only after my CK result. So basically hard work of 2 weeks...
materials- FA 4th ed and CSE videos

congrat for this achievment...
i have few questions plz..
-do u have to fill any form for the patient ( insurance form, or pre employment or even school physicals)& if not to whom u give the form?
-the usual question! did u do just focused exam to the system involved or u add to it chest and cv exam too?
-how many cases that u didnt have to do physical exam from the total number? I know it could be different but at least to know if 30% or 50% of cases.
thanks in advance
good luck in residency

Hey nepb
congrats man. good luck for score
how did u fill in the fields for supporting every diagnosis? Did u find the new cs difficult? how similar are the cases to the practice cases in fa? do u have to put 3 DDx's or is 2 enough?
how many investigations is appropriate?
my exam is in less than a month!
thanks and gl with the match

I did not have any form to fill. If u get form, take with u after encounter, fill it up and give to proctor.
I did very focused exam, they write all the time to do so.
I had only 1 phone call, and thet is the only moment w/o PE

thanx dude.
I usually wrote only pertinent + findings to support Dx( Usu 2 findings)
in new CS, we need to write only 3 Dx(i wrote only 2 for 2 cases coz the Dx was crystal clear) , i think that is better than writing 5 Dx in old CS.
Investigations - don know exactly but u r not supposed to miss the simplest and imp tests.
good luck

no problm dude. It's only common sense. U need only 3 DDx or even less. I think that is not a problem for anyone especially who passed already CK. tests- even more easier to guess...
