Kids Children Physical Exam in CS

Do we have to ask the parent to bring the child in for examination in every case? And do we have to write 'physical exam' in diagnostic work up?

Case in point- FA case 36, 10 yo F, diagnosed with diabetes recently, mother expressing her concerns about the disease.

The CS exam does not have children patients. You will not do physical exam on children and you will not write physical exam findings in children.

If you ask the SP mother to bring the child for examination, she will say "Oh, he's with his dad, they'll come later on" or something similar.

Thanks for the reply..I'm sorry I wasn't clear..

I meant to ask for the telephonic interview cases. Do we have to mention PE in diagnostic work up in every case? Kaplan 35 cases says we should, whereas FA does not have it in the list for most of the cases. Hence the query.

Yes. You can mention it in the diagnostic workup. But only one entry, not multiple entries like (CVS, Resp, Abdomen, ...etc). Just say full physical examination in one entry. That would make sense.

In Cs exam, cases over the pone & pediatric cases, you make use of the time of PE, since there is non PE.
