Me too, I'm worried about PN ... i forgot to write VS in PE at all of them i don't know how it was happened !!! and i asked the Female SP about menstrual history but didn't write it in PN !!!! but most of cases my DD and workup were correct. HPI was OK just missed little details.

My exam was in Houston ..

I have to wait another 35 days ... count down.

Hope i will pass ...

I took my exam in 28th march in Houston.

I'm worried about something. While I was applying for CK exam, i clicked on CS instead and the application continue till the end when i found i have to pay $1440 !!! so do you think that i'm failed and for that they let me re-apply for CS !!

My end period of CS was in 15th April-2013.

please guys, do you know any idea about that? why they let me re-apply?

I did CS April 10th....&I'm losing my mind.

waiting for this CS result(June 12) is pure, distilled hell.
Can't sleep, can't concentrate.... only food that has flavor is chocolate. keep having weird premonitions of impending doom and nightmares. Last night I dreamt a civil war broke out in my country and my little brother and I had to trek barefoot over 30 miles through desert/ barbed wire,in glaring heat, while dodging RPGs, bullets and tanks to reach safety. By the way, I do not have a little brother in real life..cuckoo...
Cranky at work, at home.... Hell- EVERYWHERE
Poor boyfriend has turned into a psychiatrist/ crying pillow/ punch-bag.
How much can a normal human being take.... and are these guys sadist?
Or am I just plain crazy?

Same here. I took the exam in the notorious Philadelphia center by mistake. Lately the SPs have been failing a lot of people there. Check this: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/show....php?t=1000039

Default CS April 17 in Chicago

I took my test on the 17th of April. I did many mistakes in the CIS component in my opinion. Also I somehow never filled the HPI (most of the other test takers did fill it up :/ ) so I don't know how much is that going to affect me.

Having to wait for this is just too much

yeah, sorry. What I mean is in the patient note, the history portion. There are 950 characters/15 lines. Well I almost never used all of the characters, because, well, I didn't have much else to put.

So I'm worried that is going to affect me...

Dont worry ... Not required to use 950 characters !

In all my cases I didn't use all characters ... My average I think about 600 characters.

Also awaiting my CS result by June 12. I took my CS on May 1 in Philly. Longest wait I must say.
Personally, I did not encounter problems with the SP's. My issue is with the PN's. I didn't have time to support many of my differentials with positive/negative points from the history and physical examination. Forgot to report the VS in some of the notes. Just hope I pass too.

Took my exam Last friday in Philly...dont really know how it went.....that 15 minutes during the encounter and 10 minutes during the PN goes by so damn quickly...I feel like my CIS and SEP were no problem, but im scared shitless about the ICE...many cases were very vague to me, and I made some blunders as in some examination maneuvers i did, I forgot to write on the PN due to time constraints.....sometimes I couldn't do a full exam due to time constraints, and some other times I left out some important history due to time constraints....

I did manage to do a proper closure in every case, did the relevant examinations for the MOST PART plus heart and lung sounds, used gloves in every case (came out the room with them on one time lol), asked if they had questions or concerns at least twice in each encounter, summarized the history before physical exam in most cases, pulled out the leg rest whenever it was warranted, asked if a lady who had a cough during the encounter if she needed a tissue, told them everything i was doing in the PE, asked to untie their gowns and tie them back up, used the patients name a lot during the counter (builds a better rapport), used transition sentences, and I tried to answer the qs they had to the best of my ability but sometimes i fumbled when the cases werent pointing to a specific diagnosis..

damn i just hope i pass, hate the feeling of this exam in that everything is dependent on how another person feels about you....too many variable factors....wouldnt be surprised if i passed or failed.....just sucks cause i Knew coming out of step 1 i passed, I hope we all make it (we still have better then 50/50 odds even with the new changes)

Gave my CS a couple of days ago!
I am not gonna stress out over the wait.
Will offer words of encouragement though to those who are about to take the exam!

if you took the exam between march 24 and may 18 the reporting schedule begins from june 12th to july 10th
Results for 98%-99% of examinees who take the exam during the testing period are reported by the third Wednesday in a Reporting Period.
Check the usmle website for further clarifications

Also waiting in this period.

I'm also quite nervous. I never finished a complete neuro exam. I type slowly. Several times, I was cut off while still typing the PN. I forgot to put some details on the PN. Sometimes, I wondering if it would have been better if the SP's still had their checklists.

I pray that we all pass. :sorry:

Yeah i agree with you , they should still keep their checklists when it comes to the history so u know that u asked even though u forgot to write it down in the PN.

Definitely No ...

If your result not released by 12th, it means either your result not ready or there is a problem in verification ( if you are applied as a student) .. but absolutely not mean you are failed !
Good lcuk

Took the exam on 16th may when shud i expect my result 12th of june?? usmle.org says Results for 98%-99% of examinees who take the exam during the testing period are reported by the third Wednesday in a Reporting Period.
I didnt get it third wednesday of reporting period?? it doesnt mean 3rd wednesday after the test right

I forgot to wear gloves in one case, am getting so nervous now cant even focus on my CK exam. I wonder since they raised the passing standards for CS what kind of results should be expected.

You should find it in IWA, if it's not there so it's gone, which means like step I & CK you should have your resluts next wednesday

in case of a God-forsaken fail result, would you guys still apply for this year's match?

this is because schedule dates for the CS are not available until october... Any thoughts?

Wouldn't the permit disappear anyways once you have taken the exam? Not sure if that is significant for when you get your score. Mine has been gone for days. Took mine May 15th, hopefully I get it on Wednesday. According to the website examinees taking the exam during the latter part of the testing period may receive scores later. This weight is brutal...and suppression only works for so long.

this result waiting is literally killing me. met a few people over the weekend and had a wierd argument with them although I tried my best to avoid it, strange when you are already stressed out some people try their best to give u more trouble. Some people are so absurd they just dont have any idea what the other person might be going through, may God help me keep my sanity. Sometimes I feel these exams instead of being a confidence booster really drag us down & make us feel so unworthy. hate the feeling..

Hey Shima! your comment made smile yes doctor I really feel doomed right now & its affecting my daily activities like studying for CK exam really bad. I have lost interest in the things I used to like before, my sleep is pretty bad, lost my appetite, having palpitations most of the time, feelings of guilt but no suicidal thoughts occured so far. In short really feel like pulling my hair.. May be I need to run for a mile or 2 it will calm me down for sure. Sorry for projecting my negative feelings so openly guys but I just needed to vent out my negative feelings, no place better than usmle forums for that may be.

i have been feeling the same..except that i am not talking to anyone around me.. it's a test of patience . i m gonna take it as a lesson for life ..be the best person around..a pleasant person ..a confident one ..and never wish anyones bad.. most important..learn to except any ups and downs. everyone has some share of struggle..some have more and some have less! I just needed to remind this to myself more than everybody else.

Go for that run. You will feel much much better. It's a wonder what fresh air can do for a pre-occupied mind. And those Endorphins are no joke, that's how I have been keeping occupied since the exam. I have been consoling myself with "what is done is done, can't change anything now.' I have came along so far, I am sure God will make the rest of the path easier too.

Dude, I have the exact same feelings!!! I wrote on Atlanta May 17th, really nervous!!
My main problem is on my PN (I left the PE for the end and forget to put some details) and on the Closing/Counseling (I left it for the end and was a lit bit overdetailed on the PE, so I was interrupted like 3 times during the counseling/closing by the buzzer, 1 time I finished the closing/counseling but after I asked the pt if the plan was agreeable, the buzzer interrupted the pt).. Other than that, I think I was cordial and did all the rituals (I studied with a partner for 1 month (1st aid, CSE and UW) and took Ximedus, which helped me a lot with the CIS).. But I'm really really scared as you're telling me! I don't know how getting interrupted multiple times by the buzzer will affect my score..
So let's prayyyy!!!! :sorry::sorry::sorry::sorry::sorry:

Smile

Today was a much better day for me I slept like a baby after running for almost 2 miles. I cleaned my closet, got rid of my old stuff, vaccumed the entire house, cooked some food at least the physical activity and doing something positive is helping a lot to get my mind of the results. Planning to go out for running again in few hours. All the best guys just one more day & few hours for the results for the most expensive test that I ever took. Keep me in your prayers please!:sorry::sorry::sorry:

I am sure you have passed.

but what is it, about your mistakes that worry you, is it just your anxiety.

yes I forgot to wear my gloves in one case, I told him Im going to put on the gloves & then do a physical exam if there is anything that he wud like to discuss so he asked me a question & he kept telling that he wants to get out of the hospital & As I was answering his q's & consolling him I totally forgot to wear the gloves & just started to do the physical. When I was closing the case & tried to take off my gloves as in every case I noticed I had nothing on my hands but it was too late. But I finished every case before time with counselling & closure,Typed the PN in time. Couldnt make a perfect diagnosis in may be 2-3 cases cause there could be multiple D/D for that. My first case was an angry patient & I was definately nervous in the first one. After checking for PERRLA I put the ophthalmoscope back on its place & it fell down in like 15 seconds or so, that wasnt my fault may be but I said sorry to the patient & had to go & put it back on the wall.
No major mistakes just felt some of my patients were kind of dumb they didnt show any expression when i was closing the case except few, so I dont know if I closed my cases very well or what else did they want from me. but they all asked q's & i answered them.I did help my patients sitting up or lying down. When I came out of the exam I felt like I did my best whatever I could execpt the gloves part, the rest is upto God. I dont think anyone deserves to fail this exam unless they just go fot the exam without any prep at all. Anyways let's keep the fingers crossed & pray more.:sorry:

^I feel the same exact way as many of the above posters. Many patients were pretty expressionless and just narrated the HPI within 3-4 minutes as soon as i asked "what brings you to the clinic today?". It was like they were tired of repeating the same thing over and over again! I definitely made many mistakes - forgot to counsel one patient about smoking, couldn't come up with the diagnosis in at least 2 of them, couldn't remember the exact name of one of the special tests i asked the patient to perform , left the physical exam findings blank for many cases because, well, there were NO physical findings! Anyway, the wait is killing me.......:sorry:

Wishing everyone the very best!
