Default Patient's emotions management

Patient's emotions management:

VALIDATE .... You seem (sad, angry, concerned, etc) . Do you want to talk about it? Is there anything I can do to help?

UNDERSTAND ... I truly understand/I know that it is very hard for you. We see patients with similar situations all the time and we were able to help them.

RESPECT ... What are doing to manage the pain that it is causing you? Does it work for you? Do you want to try something different?

SUPPORT .... Is there anything that I can do for you? You should know that I am here to help you.

ENGAGE .... Please contact me any time. You are not alone, we will work together to find a solution to your condition/problem. We will do everything possible to help you. There are resources available to help you in this situation, you do not have to continue feeling this way. I will instruct my assistant to provide you with the brochures with information about it.

FOLLOW UP .... I would like to continue talking about your condition in the next appointment in few days. We will set up your next appointment before you leave.
If there is anything that I could do for you before the next appointment, please feel free to call me at my office.

THANK YOU .... Thank you very much to visit our office today. Thank you very much for sharing with me your concerns.
