Texas Houston, do SP's have a southern accent ?

do SP's in Houston have a southern accent ?
do they talk slowly and clearly ?

I would appreciate any feedback from anyone who took the exam in Houston.

accent wasn't a problem . it was decent ..no difficulty in understanding.

They talk clearly, there is nothing to worry about.. I flew from Minnesota to Houston and didnt have a problem with the accent at all.

Looks weird as your profile states that you are already done with the 3 exams! Don't worry dude I did my CS exam there. They speak very clean English and understand you very well. You just speak in clear and not fast way. Don't try to mimic american accent because they don't understand it. I first scheduled my exam in Atlanta, then switched to Houston because of the bad reviews on Atlanta. I even rotated at Emory university for 2 months and found there accent was difficult.

P.S Texans don't speak a southern accent!

Default No prob at all

Hi.. I took CS in Houston and I dint hv any difficulty understanding their accent at all (this given d fact dat I don't hv any USCE so u can understand how clearly dey speak).. And even they dint hv any difficulty understanding my English.. I just spoke d way I usually do ( no American accent)..

i live in Houston. though general typical Texan accent is little different but you will not find anyone talking in a difficult way in the CS test. i , in fact had one woman with eastern European accent, so don't worry abt it. and in case someone is too fast, you can ask the Q again after excusing yourself.
