dont think like that. just remember there are so many ppl taking this exam! and we just happen to be the ones whose score they couldnt get to. and also you cannot change what u did in the exam room, ur score is no longer in ur hands so just remain calm and hope for the best we've waited so long already, just 7 more days now good luck!

That's true. Nothing can be changed. We will have to wait till next wednesday. The only thing I really wanted is to know whether I have passed CS and really concentrate on CK. The wait was not letting me study for CK. But I guess I'm really wrong in not studying for CK well.. I shall try harder from tomorrow. I can't fight destiny now. Whatever has to happen will happen.I can't change it.

dont bother guys, wonder for how many weeks it will take cause the reporting period will end on july 10, this means some of us might get our results by that time. Im not gonna go thru this pain again. Will keep checking my email every wednesday but no more waiting for me. Relax, chill & pray nothing we can do to get the results early.I need to get back to CK phew so much to do! OB/GYN I am still not done with you.

First, you need to stop believing everything you read in forums and START READING THE OFFICIAL usmle.org INFORMATION!
Believe me, it is much faster than reading through a lot of "I heard from a friend..." and "I think I read somewhere..." and asking questions in this forum to actually read the official info.
For everyone who is too lazy to actually look for it themselves, here is the link: http://www.usmle.org/step-2-cs/#reporting
It clearly states that they usually don't report all the scores on the first day. The reporting period STARTED today and goes till July 10. This means your score can come anytime between or on those days, usually on a Wednesday.
Here is the quote: "The first results for a given testing period will be issued on the first day of the corresponding reporting period, and it is expected that results for the vast majority of examinees who take the exam during the testing period will be reported on this date. However, it is important to note that there will likely be a small number of examinees for whom scoring and quality assurance are not completed by the first day of the reporting period; these will typically be examinees who took the exam in the latter part of the testing period. Results for these examinees will be reported each week throughout the reporting period, and should be reported no later than the last day of the score reporting period."
This clearly states that most people get their result the first day, but you might be among those where scoring or "quality assurance" are not completed.
This absolutely does not mean you have not passed or you have passed. Your chances are still exactly what they were yesterday. I am sure ECFMG does not wait to deliver failing scores.
Also, why would you call ECFMG? What will they be able to do? Pull out your exam info and score it right then and there? You know that is not how it works! Calling ECFMG is for problems with applications and things like that. Pretty sure they won't be able to help you and will tell you the official info, which is also on the usmle.org homepage.
Sorry for rambling, but I just can't stand by when the exact same thing is happening over and over again in this forum... Lots of people that never think of actually reading the ECFMG info booklet or usmle.org information or Step 2 CS info booklet. Believe me, it is all in there.
Hope this helps!

This is exactly what happens.. People like to create chaos and freak themselves and others.. People rather believe gossip and rumors than to read official info.. This happens not only in USMLE but in life in general.

We as humans like to complain and to victimize ourselves.. is part of our nature... And this has been my struggle with some people on these forums and on life.. people always like to easy solution.. that is ask --> sit-->wait for an answer rather than search from themselves..

You spoke the truth and have my respect .

Hey guys..

Loved this post.. It's good to know I'm not the only one freaking out. Took mine on Atlanta, May 17th.. Another friend who took with me at the same day also in ATL still didn't got the results..

Let's just be patient and remember that nobody died after they failed the CS, I've talked to my family and friends and told them I might not pass, since this test is somewhat unpredictable.. Hence, preparing everyone for the worse kind of relieved my stress about the possibility of failure.

I know most of you guys are brilliant and a pass or failure in this test is not gonna change that. I, myself, got 265 on Step1 and I'm currently finishing a PhD in Pharm, so everyone around me, my friends and family, is always expecting nothing but the best from me, which kinds of raise the pressure.

However, everything I got, was not solely through hard-work, a big part of it was due to being fortunate or blessed, or any other term that means lucky, of being around a lot of people who loves me and cares about me or being at the right place at the right time. But lucky, although extremely important in our journey, is something beyond our control. Just like the CS, a lot of brilliant brilliant people fail this test, so let's be prepared for the best or the worse. But most importantly, let's not allow this test to let us down or hurt our self-esteem and let's learn from that experience and become better doctors for the sake of our real test: the actual patients!!! Because this is the only way this process can beat us: by making us miserable and forcing us to give up!!

I'm sure most of you saw this Michael Jordan Commercial.. But for me it is always uplifiting :

We're on the same boat guys!! Love you guys no matter the CS outcome!!

i just loved what you wrote, most of us are tired and beaten up by the entire usmle process but no failure ever should be good enough to shatter our confidence, we did our best & will keep doing our best no matter what. just dont give up fellows, lets hope for the best but be prepared for the worse.

Hey cearamor,

Nice video!!! But I gotta say I disagree with how you told your relatives that the worst could happen, it seems like you've already accepted your fate and are believing the rumors. Which I don't think are true. I think all these things are stupid rumors made by who don't want to read and make assumptions. Also you can not forget to have confidence in yourself. I still haven't gotten my results but I do believe in myself that I did well. I do believe that was nice to my sps apologized more then I needed, made them laugh when it was appropriate, encouraged and commanded them when they deserved it. Helped them get up, offer water and tissues to the Pts that were coughing. Took focused hx, PE, I followed the format if the way it was in FA for my PN. Did I miss things of course I did no one is perfect.

But ppl instead of using this energy to think of ur negatives and surrounding urself with negative energy. Open ur FA or whatever source u used and check off all the things you did do to help boost your confidence you'll be surprised to find that there is a lot that you have done rather then ur mistakes.

Pls ppl lets stay positive and think to ourselves that we maybe didn't get our results bc God thought we were strong enough to bare another week without our scores or that God is testing us. We have to think of the possibility that maybe the system crash at ecfmg or whatever and we didn't get our results. There are probably 10000+ ppl who took the exam in the time period obviously we can't expect them to reach to everyone in one day. Yes it's unfortunate that we are the who don't have the results but I am not really to feed into these rumors that I have failed bc I didn't get my results yest. Practically think there will always be more ppl to post a good experience over a bad experience esp in this case so the ratio from yest is totally off.

Pls lets gather the support from our loved one for an encouagemt that we can make it through another week rather then telling them that there is a possibility of us failing bc I am not ready to accept that until that paper tells me! Sorry if I said too much or offended anyone but guys we are going to be doctors lets think practically!!!

We are the champions!!!

Lol so true. I got over it that same night. Yes upset that I didn't get my results but then I was able to block it off again. This Tuesday night will be another sleepless night anxiously awaiting for the results. Praying that I see PASS this Wednesday.

Just a question out of curiosity does anyone know why all scores regardless of which step it is they are released on Wednesday. Technology is so advanced now and to not take advantage of that doesn't make any sense to me.

Honestly I have no idea why its always wednesday. But its good in a way for us that we know it cant be out on any other day & make every day miserable for us. I rather wish they would give out the results the same day we take the test. I believe it is possible, they just have their own strategies we are unable to figure out.

Don't worry we will get it on Wednesday and we all will be posting that we passed. Just think about to guys once we get this result for some of us we're done while for some of us it's the final stretch of a step exam. It'll be such a huge relief. I am looking forward to this relief guys. I just think of the little chu chu train who kept saying I think I can.
