Unhappy Worried about my CS Performance

I am an img and i gave my cs exam 2 days back.
i screwed up 2 cases, sort of blanked out, did not ask appropriate questions and missed the differentials...
other 10 cases were ok...
am really worried now...
are 2 bad cases enough for failing???
what happens if i fail?? is there any chance of matching on passing cs on 2nd attempt??

It is not the best 10 cases that are graded. 2 out of the 12 are not graded because they are experimental. But no one knows which ones. It is not like you get a "free pass" to mess up 2...
Having said that, it really depends how badly you messed up and probably how well you did on the others. But no one here knows about grading so we won't be able to tell you.

I hope you will pass since no one can take this test without alot of mistakes. i just want to ask what the cause of blanked out is it because the case was not clear or difficult or stree factor.
thanks and good luck..

Hi, I know the feeling because when I did my exam I screwed the first 2 cases because of stress and nervousness

I ended having pretty good marks in all 3 subcomponents (all high performance with a safe range)

If you practiced well enough and gave your best you shouldnt worry. Try to keep your mind occupied and have hope.

if this is the only thing you didn't do right, you passed. but as our collegue val7 said, it depends what exactly you couldn't do. you will be fine as long as you didn't really hurt the communication and empathy part. I had a telephone case of a child of 3 weeks and i kept on talking , thinking the child is 3 years and asked Qs accordingly. still it didn't hurt me at all.

i also screwed up 2 cases... forgot to counsel in 1 and forgot to include a positive finding in patient note... and in other couldn't figure out what the sp had and panicked, didn't finish closure in time and wrote something random for ddx in the pn.... keep going over the mistakes in my mind, torturing myself, not sure what will happen....just really hope that we all passed!

Its an average of all the cases so as long as they weren't big blunders (pissing off the pt) or if your differentials were completely off target, i think you'll be fine.
