Default Pay fees DURING OR AFTER taking the exam date?

does anyone know whethere i have to pay DURING OR AFTER i have taken the date for exam if I am within 14 days of my exam date??
What I mean is I want to change my exam date and I am within 14 days periods and I want to extend it one more week, so I have set up check4change, but if I have to pay during the date taking process then there is noway that i will be able to take the date as someone else with grab that spot as I will be busy putting in my credit card info, anyone have any idea?
please help!

you will pick the day, then pay and then it will be confirmed
